Maddie LylesColor Guard Director
[email protected] Ms. Maddie Lyles is our Color Guard Director beginning in 2023 and has been involved with color guard since 2015. Before directing, she attended Katy High School for 4 years and was the captain of the color guard for junior and senior year. Before teaching for Katy, she worked at Fulshear High School as a color guard tech for a year right out of high school and learned what teaching color guard really was. After leaving Fulshear, she was a tech for 3 years at Katy HS where our winter guard teams competed at WGI and TCGC competitions and placed in the top three numerous times. We were also area finalists for marching season for two years in a row. Ms. Lyles recently has started branching out to help other groups learn and grow such as Kingwood Park High School where she has written choreography and helped judge auditions. She will be starting her second year of spinning independent winter guard with UNDAUNTED INDEPENDENT based in Cypress, Texas in 2023. She continues spinning and performing to grow and learn skills that she can take to the students at Katy. |
