"That Roarin' Band from Tigerland"
The Katy High School Marching Band is one of the largest and most visible student organizations on campus with over 250 members. With rehearsals beginning in late-July and a football season that usually lasts well into December, the band juggles the busy fall with a successful and extensive competitive season. Having performed at the State Marching Band Contest, various bowl games, and numerous local competitions, the band has been increasingly successful over the past few years. A unique design team is assembled to prepare the show for the marching band. This process begins in December, and the show is announced in late May at band banquet. The band will have their first public performance of the season at the end of band camp, usually taking place the Friday evening before school begins in August. Between school, practices, competitions and football games, these are the busiest kids on the block!
