Jazz Band

The Katy High School Jazz Band is under the direction of Mr. Terence Gorton and has a rich history of success. The group has received outstanding ratings from nationally recognized jazz competitions and are regularly requested for performances by local and state organizations. They were also invited to perform at the 2013 Texas Music Educators Association Convention. For over 30 years the Katy Jazz Band has made it a tradition to present "Sentimental Journey" in the commons of the high school campus. This annual event is filled with food, dancing, and great jazz music!
